Anyone for Podcasting? (providing audio to students)
We are publishing podcasts for faculty development at KCKCC. Check it out.
Also,
I'm collecting and creating audio to support materials for the PreComp classes (CLICK UNDERLINED TEXT TO SEE SAMPLES). Part of my reasoning is that some of my students aren't strong readers and audio content may help me assess writing more accurately by not confusing or conflating an assessment with reading. I have a ton of literature supporting this if anyone wants to see it. (BTW - you are all part of an Angel "class" where I've posted cool video, audio, and literature in support of such in the "lessons" space). The first time you use it the password is "angel".
This particular media has been shown to be particularly usefull to lower SES and minority students, even though the better readers quickly become the most enthusiastic.
I'm interested in collaborating with other teachers - even (perhaps especially? with ) those in math or reading!
PLEASE EDIT THIS PAGE IN ANY WAY YOU LIKE. It's public. You can be anonymous or sign your name - as you wish.
If you are interested in providing acess to audio to your students? Would you like to have any particular reading from Anker produced as audio? (I have Malcolm X available in on Angel. - My first attempt as both producer and talent).
The typos included are included as an object lesson and for your editing pleasure.
